Start with the tools. Order when your client is ready.
Creating a TradelineScore broker account is free. Complete onboarding, then review live broker inventory and broker pricing before your first order. You bring and manage your own clients; TradelineScore provides tools to place and track orders.
What a tradeline broker does
A tradeline broker connects clients who want to add authorized user (AU) tradelines to their credit profile with available inventory, without needing to own the credit cards. Brokers place orders on behalf of clients and handle the client relationship.
The broker handles client communication, support and payment collection. TradelineScore works with the broker on fulfillment and refund matters.
Six steps to become a broker
- 1
Learn the basics
Understand how AU tradelines work and explain their limits before offering them to clients.
- 2
Create your broker account
Creating a TradelineScore broker account is free.
- 3
Complete broker onboarding
Electronically sign the Reseller Agreement before receiving full platform access.
- 4
Review live inventory and broker pricing
After onboarding, review live broker inventory and broker pricing. No first purchase is required to access broker pricing.
- 5
Place an order when your client is ready
Review the listing, reporting dates and applicable terms before submitting the client order.
- 6
Manage the order and client relationship
Track order status and expected posting dates in your dashboard. Brokers check whether their clients’ purchased lines have posted and can report problems to TradelineScore. The team helps investigate reported issues.
No coding or technical background is needed to complete broker onboarding.
Is this right for you?
A good fit
Credit repair agencies, financial and business consultants, and other professionals who already serve clients.
Know the limits
Client acquisition is on you. The platform supplies inventory and tools, not a built-in customer base. If you are buying for yourself, use the public catalog rather than the broker program.
What you bring and what the platform provides
What you bring
- Your own client relationships.
- A basic understanding of AU tradelines.
- Business fundamentals and an understanding of your own obligations when marketing to clients.
- Responsibility for how you handle client information and communicate with clients.
Broker-facing tools
- A free broker account.
- Live broker inventory.
- Broker pricing after onboarding, before a first order.
- Fixed-dollar or percentage client markup tools.
- Client account and order-management tools.
- Order tracking, live order status and expected posting dates.
- A branded lead-generation iFrame for your website.
Creating a TradelineScore broker account is free. Account signup is separate from the cost and terms of a tradeline order. The dashboard supports managing client accounts and orders as your business grows.
Getting the business side right matters as much as the platform side. The SBA’s Counseling page explains how to find small-business counseling and support.
How the branded iFrame works
At TradelineScore, “white-label” means a branded lead-generation iFrame embedded on your own website or domain. It shows live inventory, and you can customize the logo, branding and colors within the iFrame.
- 1Your website
- 2Live inventory iFrame
- 3Client selects lines
- 4Contact details submitted
- 5Lead emailed to you
- 6You follow up directly
The visible lead form collects name, email, phone and selected-line interest. The lead is emailed to you so you can follow up directly.
No order is placed and no payment is taken through the iFrame. It does not include a full private portal, branded client emails or invoices, automated branded reports or status notifications, or branded support. You collect client payment and handle the client relationship and support.
How inventory works
Your broker dashboard shows live AU tradeline inventory, with issuer, credit limit, account age, reporting window and availability details. Listings have limited spots and order cutoffs, so review the listing before ordering.
Public Buy Tradelines listings are manually updated every three hours, while broker inventory is live. Availability may change between updates. Broker pricing applies through your broker account.
How broker pricing works
Broker-only wholesale pricing applies to orders you place for clients through your broker account. It is available after broker onboarding; no first order is required to unlock it.
You control the client markup added to the listings your clients see, using a fixed-dollar amount or a percentage. Broker pricing is separate from retail volume discounts; retail discounts do not stack on broker pricing.
Before your first client order
- Review the issuer, account age, credit limit, availability and reporting window.
- Make sure the client’s information is accurate before submitting the order.
- Explain that the general posting estimate starts after AU addition, not payment. The Final Reporting Date is the date against which posting is evaluated. The order-specific Dispute Period separately governs when initial nonposting must first be reported under the applicable policy.
- Explain that credit-score changes, financing approval and lender acceptance are not guaranteed.
- Know where you will track the order and how you will contact TradelineScore about a reported problem.
Common beginner mistakes
Promising a specific score, approval or lending result
Results depend on the client’s credit file. Credit-score changes, financing approval and lender acceptance are not guaranteed.
Assuming every account reports the same way to every bureau
The posting standard is reporting to at least two of Experian, Equifax and TransUnion by the listing’s Final Reporting Date. TradelineScore does not promise which two. Explain the policy and dates.
Ordering late
Listings close ahead of the card’s statement date. Check the listing’s current order cutoff rather than assuming it stays available.
Entering inaccurate or inconsistent client information
Double-check details before submitting an order. Incorrect information can cause processing issues.
Not explaining what happens after the AU period ends
AU accounts are temporary, and any effect on a client’s credit profile may change after removal.
A realistic look at broker earnings
There is no fixed or typical income figure we can promise. Your earnings depend on your own clients, pricing and sales activity. The platform does not supply clients or guarantee income.
- How consistently you bring in clients.
- The markup or service margin you set.
- The time you put into the business, whether as a side activity or a dedicated business.
Be cautious of any program that promises a specific income figure without knowing your situation, market or client base.
Tips for getting started
- Create standardized client communication templates.
- Use a repeatable process to explain listing details, reporting windows and client expectations.
- Set realistic timing expectations. Posting is generally expected within 7-15 business days after the AU is added, not after payment. Each listing has its own reporting window. Keep the posting-evaluation date separate from the initial-reporting Dispute Period described above. Never promise a specific posting date.
- Check your clients’ posting status and contact TradelineScore about reporting problems. The team is available to help with questions and reported issues.
Consistency and clear communication matter more to long-term client relationships than a single tactic.
Frequently asked questions
What does a tradeline broker actually do?
A tradeline broker helps clients place orders for AU tradelines from available inventory, without needing to own the credit cards themselves.
Do I need credit repair licensing to become a broker?
TradelineScore isn’t a credit repair company and doesn’t offer credit repair services. Whether your own business needs a license or registration depends on the services you offer and where you operate, so check with a qualified attorney.
How much can I earn as a tradeline broker?
It depends on your own client base, pricing and sales activity. There is no fixed or typical income figure TradelineScore can promise.
What tools do I need to start?
A broker account gives you a dashboard with live inventory, client markup tools and order tracking. See the Broker Program page for the full list.
Can I use my own brand as a broker?
Yes. At TradelineScore, “white-label” means a branded lead-generation iFrame on your own website or domain. You can customize branding within the iFrame. It does not include branded invoices, a full private portal, checkout or payments. You receive the leads and follow up directly. See White-Label Tradeline Services.
What's the difference between a broker and an affiliate?
Brokers manage their own clients and earn through their client markup or service margin. Affiliates refer brokers to TradelineScore and earn a separate 10% recurring commission on qualifying completed, non-refunded purchases made by those referred brokers. A broker may also participate in the affiliate program separately. Compare both in our Broker vs. Affiliate Program guide.
Is there a fee to become a broker?
No. Creating a TradelineScore broker account is free.
