Tradelines for Sale: Verified & Escrow-Protected AU Tradelines

Browse verified authorized user tradelines and compare listings by bank, credit limit, account age, statement date, price, and expected posting window. Every seller is verified before a listing goes live, and each transaction is protected through our escrow-backed ordering process — funds are held until the tradeline posts, so nothing is charged until your selection is confirmed.

Select up to four tradelines in a single order, with automatic savings on each additional one. Tradelines do not guarantee a credit score increase or loan approval; results depend on your individual credit profile and how a given lender evaluates authorized-user history.

Understanding AU Tradelines

A tradeline is any account entry on a credit report, such as a credit card, loan, or line of credit, that lists the creditor's name, account type, credit limit, and payment history. According to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, this data is what scoring models use to help lenders, landlords, and employers evaluate creditworthiness.

Most buyers are specifically looking for authorized user (AU) tradelines: seasoned credit card accounts where a buyer is added as an authorized user in order to reflect that account's age, limit, and payment history on their own credit report. This differs from a primary tradeline, which is an account opened in a person's own name, like an auto loan or a personal credit card.

Tradeline Score's role is to make the process of finding and buying these tradelines transparent and verifiable for everyone involved: buyers, brokers, and the cardholders who list their accounts for sale.

Account AgeHow long the underlying account has been open. May affect factors like the average age of accounts once reported, though impact varies by credit profile and scoring model
Credit LimitThe tradeline's credit limit, which affects utilization once it reports
Reporting BureausWhether the tradeline reports to Equifax, TransUnion, Experian, or all three

Because payment is not released until the tradeline posts, buyers have a documented layer of protection that not every tradeline provider offers. For Zelle payments specifically, escrowed funds are held by Match Point Software LLC, DBA Confirmed Identity — a third-party entity separate from the individual seller, not the seller directly. On the verification side, every seller listed on Tradeline Score goes through identity verification and signs a formal agreement with us before their account becomes eligible to be listed; we don't list accounts based on a seller's claim alone. Raquel Hudson, our tradeline specialist, is part of that review process, helping evaluate whether a listing's details are accurate before it goes live.

Before You Buy: Readiness Checklist

Posting delays are most often caused by mismatched or incomplete personal information rather than by the tradeline itself. Before purchasing, take a few minutes to confirm the following:

Fraud alerts or credit freezes are removed, and the removal is confirmed on all three bureaus.

Full legal name appears identically across TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax, with no initials or abbreviations.

Current address is formatted the same way on all three reports, including apartment or unit number and ZIP+4.

Date of birth matches exactly across bureaus.

You have a government photo ID and recent proof of address ready in case verification is requested.

This step is optional, but skipping it is one of the more common reasons a tradeline posts late, regardless of which provider a buyer uses.

Types of AU Tradelines You Can Buy

Seasoned Tradelines

Accounts with 24 or more months of age, consistent on-time payments, and low utilization. Often used by buyers who want to add depth to a thin credit file. See how these compare to newer tradelines.

High-Limit Tradelines

Higher credit limits can improve a buyer's overall credit-to-debt ratio, which may help those carrying existing balances or revolving debt. Utilization is a significant factor in FICO scoring — accounting for roughly 30% of a FICO score — though the actual effect still depends on the rest of a buyer's credit profile.

Piggyback Tradelines

A general term for AU tradelines added specifically to reflect additional history on a credit profile. Frequently used by buyers preparing for a mortgage, auto loan, or rental application.

Tradeline Packages

Bundled combinations across age, limit, and bureau coverage, intended for buyers or brokers working toward several credit-profile goals at once.

Pricing depends mainly on account age, credit limit, and which bureaus the card reports to. Tradeline Score displays this pricing up front so buyers and brokers can compare listings before committing to a purchase. Buying more than one at once? Buying Tradelines vs. Other Credit-Building Options

Credit repair servicesMonthsRecurring monthly feeCan be permanent if disputes succeed
Secured credit cardMonths to yearsDeposit plus annual feePermanent, builds independently

Buying a tradeline is not a substitute for responsible credit habits over time. It is one way to add reported history to a credit file faster than organic credit-building alone typically allows, and it works best alongside good financial practices, not instead of them.

Is It Legal and Safe to Buy Them?

Authorized user tradelines are legal under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and Tradeline Score verifies seller identity before any listing goes live.

It is worth being direct about what these are not. They are not CPNs (credit privacy numbers), and they are not credit sweeps. Both of those practices carry real legal risk, and any provider offering them is worth avoiding.

It's also worth being clear about credit repair specifically: Tradeline Score is not a credit repair company, and we don't attempt to correct, dispute, or remove information from your credit report. Tradelines add new, positive history to a file — they don't change or fix anything that's already there.

Not What We Offer

CPNs (credit privacy numbers) and credit sweeps both carry real legal risk. Any provider offering either of these is worth avoiding entirely.

That said, buyers should go in with realistic expectations. Some lenders and scoring models weigh authorized-user history differently than primary account history, and Experian has noted that some creditors view the practice of renting a tradeline as misleading, since it does not reflect the buyer's own credit experience. This is a genuine consideration, not a reason to avoid tradelines altogether, but it does mean results vary by lender and by credit profile. Every transaction on our platform is escrow-protected, so payment is not released to the seller until the tradeline posts to the credit report. No legitimate provider can promise an exact score outcome, and any that do should be treated with caution.

This isn't just a cautionary note — it's backed by actual research. A Federal Reserve study on authorized-user accounts found an average credit score increase of just 0.49 points across the population studied, with a median change of zero — meaning half of all people with an authorized-user tradeline saw no measurable score change at all. The same research notes that VantageScore has excluded authorized-user tradelines from its scoring model entirely, while FICO has adjusted how it weighs them across successive model versions. We share this not to discourage buyers, but because a clear-eyed view of the research is part of buying responsibly.

This information is educational and is not financial, legal, or credit-repair advice. Buyers with specific concerns about their credit strategy may want to speak with a licensed credit counselor or financial advisor before purchasing.

Who Shouldn't Buy a Tradeline

Tradelines can be a genuinely useful tool in the right situation, but they're not a fit for every situation. A few specific cases worth knowing about before you buy:

!

You're applying for a manually underwritten mortgage. Under Fannie Mae's own guidelines, tradelines listing you as an authorized user generally cannot be considered in a manual underwriting decision, with narrow exceptions (such as a spouse-owned account, or documented proof you've personally made the payments for at least 12 months). If your loan is likely to go through manual underwriting, talk to your loan officer before buying a tradeline for this purpose.

!

A specific negative item is driving your score down. A tradeline adds new, positive history — it doesn't remove or offset an existing collection, late payment, or charge-off. If a negative item is the main issue, addressing it directly (or speaking with a credit counselor) is likely to matter more than adding a tradeline.

!

You need a specific, guaranteed increase by a set date. As the research above shows, results vary widely, and for many people the change is small or unmeasurable. No legitimate provider, including us, can promise a specific outcome.

!

Your lender specifically uses VantageScore. Since VantageScore excludes authorized-user tradelines from its model entirely, a tradeline won't factor into that particular score at all, regardless of how it performs on other scoring models.

Example Client Scenario

The scenario below illustrates a typical broker-assisted purchase; specific details have been generalized to protect client privacy.

A broker working with Tradeline Score helped a client secure two seasoned AU tradelines, each five or more years old with limits above $15,000. Both tradelines posted within 45 days. The client's account age and utilization improved enough to help them qualify for a business loan with more favorable terms.

Individual results vary based on the buyer's existing credit file and the lender's specific criteria, so this example should be read as one outcome rather than a typical or guaranteed result.

How to Read a Tradeline Listing

Every listing on our marketplace includes the same core details, no matter the price point. Here are three examples spanning the range of what's typically available, walking through what each piece of information actually tells you.

These are illustrative examples for explanation purposes — for real, currently available listings and pricing, browse the live catalog above.

Discover $175
$10,000
0y 6m

~30–60 days

Why this one stands out: A lower limit and a newer account keep the price accessible, making it a common starting point for buyers building initial credit history or working with a tighter budget.

Citi $525
$20,500
5y 1m
2
~30–60 days

Why this one stands out: Once an account passes the 24-month mark, it's generally considered "seasoned" — often the range buyers look toward when trying to add real depth to a thinner credit file.

Chase $1,050
$30,500
10y 3m
3
~30–60 days

Why this one stands out: A high limit paired with a decade of account age is often sought after for its combined effect on utilization and account age — though as with any tradeline, actual impact still depends entirely on your own credit profile.

Citi $735
$27,000
10y 6m
2
~30–60 days

One thing worth checking first: Citi tradelines specifically won't report if you have any prior or existing account history with Citibank yourself. It's a restriction unique to this issuer, so it's worth confirming before buying, regardless of how strong the rest of a listing's numbers look.

Raquel reviews our buyer-facing content, including this page, to help keep it accurate as credit reporting practices and scoring models change over time. Her focus is on helping buyers understand what account age, credit limit, and reporting behavior actually mean for a credit profile — and where the real limits of that influence are, given how much results vary by lender and scoring model. Frequently Asked Questions

What are tradelines for sale?

They are authorized user slots on existing, seasoned credit accounts that buyers can purchase so that account's age, limit, and payment history is reflected on their own credit report.

How much do they cost?

Price depends on the account's age, credit limit, and which bureaus it reports to. Tradeline Score lists transparent pricing on every listing.

Are AU tradelines legal?

Yes. Adding an authorized user to a credit account is legal and is a standard feature offered by major card issuers. It is different from CPNs or credit sweeps, which carry real legal risk.

How long do tradelines stay on my report?

Most tradelines report for 30 to 60 days. Your dashboard shows the specific statement and removal dates for each purchase.

How many tradelines should I buy?

Most buyers start with one to three. Adding many at once can draw extra scrutiny from lenders, so it helps to match the number to a specific credit goal rather than buying in bulk.

Can I buy a tradeline for someone else?

Yes, as long as identity verification is completed and the primary cardholder agrees. This is common among brokers purchasing on behalf of clients or family members.

What happens if a tradeline doesn't post?

Because every purchase is escrow-protected, funds are not released to the seller unless the tradeline posts as expected. If a tradeline doesn't post as expected, we'll work with you to make it right first. If that's not possible, you'll receive a full refund.

Will buying a tradeline guarantee a specific credit score increase?

No. Results depend on the buyer's existing credit file and how a given lender or scoring model weighs authorized-user history. Any provider promising a specific score outcome should be viewed with skepticism.

Do authorized user tradelines report to all three credit bureaus?

Not necessarily. Reporting practices can vary by card issuer, account, and credit bureau. Each listing notes which bureaus it has historically reported to, but historical reporting doesn't guarantee an account will report to every bureau during every cycle. See our guide on which credit bureaus report AU tradelines for more detail.

How does escrow protection work when buying a tradeline?

Payment is held in escrow rather than released directly to the seller. Funds only move once the tradeline is confirmed as posted to your credit report, so nothing is paid out on your order until that's verified.

How long does it take for a tradeline to post?

Posting time varies by issuer, account, and reporting cycle. Each listing's statement date and reporting window give an estimate of expected timing, but actual posting can happen earlier or later than that window. See our posting schedules and credit bureau timelines guide for a more detailed breakdown.

Does a tradeline help with a mortgage application?

It depends on how the loan is underwritten. Under Fannie Mae's own guidelines, tradelines listing you as an authorized user generally cannot be counted in a manually underwritten mortgage decision, with narrow exceptions, such as a spouse-owned account or documented proof you've personally made the payments for at least 12 months. If your loan is likely to be manually underwritten, speak with your loan officer before buying a tradeline specifically for that purpose.

Does my credit score drop after the tradeline is removed?

It can. Experian notes that if a tradeline had positive information helping your credit score, its removal at the end of the reporting window can cause your score to drop back toward where it was before. How noticeable that drop is depends on your overall credit file — buyers with a thin file tend to feel it more than buyers with several other established accounts. This is a normal part of how authorized-user tradelines work, not a sign of a problem with your order.
