How We Verify Sellers

🔍 Every Card Is Vetted Before It's Ever Listed for Sale

Before a tradeline shows up in anyone's search results, the account behind it - and the person behind that account - has already been checked. Here's exactly what we ask for, what we check it against, what disqualifies a listing, and what keeps happening after it goes live.

📝 What You'll Need to Submit

Applying as a seller starts with basic facts about your account - not a lengthy interview.

  • Issuing bank and card type - who the card is with, and what kind of account it is.
  • Account opening date - to confirm how seasoned the account actually is.
  • Current credit limit - a major factor in what a listing is worth to a buyer.
  • Statement and reporting date - so posting timelines can be estimated accurately.
  • Utilization and payment history snapshot - a clean, low-utilization account is what makes a listing valuable in the first place.
  • Identity verification - confirming you're the legitimate primary holder. See our Identity Verification page for the full detail.

📐 Our Approval Standards

What we're actually checking your card against before it's approved.

  • Account age: generally 24 months or more - what the industry calls a "seasoned" account.
  • Payment history: clean and on-time, with no recent delinquencies.
  • Utilization: low relative to the limit - high balances reduce a listing's value and its odds of approval.
  • Identity: confirmed as the true primary account holder, not someone using or spoofing another person's account.
  • Stability: no planned changes - new charges, applications, or account closures, during the listing window.

✅ What We Check

Issuing bank, card type, and account age

Credit limit and current utilization

Payment history - any late or missed payments

Statement and reporting dates

Your identity, to confirm you're the true primary holder

🚫 What You Never Have to Share

Your full card number

Your PIN or security code (CVV)

Your online banking password or login credentials

Authority to make account changes beyond adding a buyer as an authorized user

🚫 What Disqualifies a Listing

Not every card that applies gets approved. The most common reasons a listing doesn't move forward:

  • A missed or late payment within the recent history
  • Utilization high enough to undercut the account's value to a buyer
  • Account age under two years, without a limit high enough to reasonably offset it
  • Inability to confirm you're the actual primary holder of the account
  • Signs of a fabricated or inconsistent identity
  • Plans to close the account, apply for new credit, or make major purchases during the listing window

📋 After You're Approved

  1. 1

Your card appears in our inventory

Visible to verified buyers browsing by age, limit, and bureau coverage.

  2. 2

    A buyer purchases a spot

Their payment goes to escrow immediately - before you do anything on your end.

  3. 3

You add them as an authorized user

Using the verified details we provide, typically through your card issuer's own process for adding an AU.

  4. 4

You're paid once posting is confirmed

Your listing is expected to stay accurate while it's active - flag any change to your account's standing so it can be reviewed again.

❓ How We Verify Sellers

Frequently Asked Questions

Short, direct answers - no fine print surprises.

What do I need to submit to apply as a seller?

Your issuing bank, the card's opening date, current credit limit, and statement/reporting date - plus identity verification to confirm you're the account's legitimate primary holder.

How long does approval take?

Review times vary, but we aim to give you a clear yes or no without unnecessary back-and-forth. You'll be notified either way.

What's the minimum card age you accept?

Generally 24 months or more - what the industry calls a "seasoned" account, with a clean, on-time payment history.

Do you ever make exceptions to the age requirement?

Exceptions are considered case by case, generally when a higher credit limit offsets a shorter account age. There's no blanket guarantee either way.

Will a missed payment automatically disqualify my card?

Recent missed or late payments are one of the most common reasons a listing doesn't get approved - a clean, on-time payment history is central to what makes an account valuable to a buyer in the first place.

Do I have to give you my card number or online banking password?

No. We never ask for your full card number, PIN, CVV, or online banking login. What we check is your issuing bank, limit, age, and identity - not your account credentials.

What happens after my card is approved?

It's listed in our inventory. When a buyer purchases a spot, their payment goes to escrow, you add them as an authorized user using the verified details we provide, and you're paid once posting is confirmed - see our Escrow Process and Seller Protection pages for the full flow.

Can my listing be paused or removed after it's approved?

Yes. Listings are expected to reflect your account's real, current standing - if something changes that would affect a pending sale, such as a missed payment or a major balance change, let us know so your listing can be reviewed again.

How is my identity verified as part of this?

Separately from your card's financial standing, we confirm you're the legitimate primary account holder - see our Identity Verification page for the full detail on what that involves and why.

What if I want to list more than one card?

You can - each card is reviewed and approved individually against the same standards, so approval on one account doesn't guarantee approval on another.
